Theft, bribes, war... The man behind all the trouble meets his match.
A necklace is hidden in the country of werewolves. How far would you go to get it? Would you steal it? Would you kill for it? Would you dethrone a king and cause a war? It seems there’s nothing that would stop a stranger with green glowing eyes, until a wolf finds the necklace by pure chance.
Now the werewolves have two things to get: the necklace from the wolf and the crown from the king. However, the wolf is difficult to find, and the king doesn’t give up so easily. The king is determined to fight for his throne, and he is not alone. Others share the story: a notorious former pirate, a skinny old man with enough strength to hold two battle axes, and an unknown spy sending valuable and hopefully true information. And the wolf with the necklace can turn the scales to any side. Who will get to the wolf first? The king or the werewolves?
"Wolves and Werewolves is an imaginative and exciting fantasy adventure that puts a refreshing
spin on werewolf mythology."
Foreword Clarion Reviews
"[Sefc's] fusion of the traditional fantasy elements one would expect from a J.R.R. Tolkien-type
adventure with an unorthodox set of characters offers an innovative take on the genre."

Darkness is his hiding place; roofs are his territory. A mysterious man haunts Royal City.
Have you ever walked through a dark, empty street? Have you ever had that strange feeling that someone is watching you? Has it ever occurred to you to look up? The Masked Man is roaming the city rooftops—his hiding places. What would you do to stop him?
Rex continues looking for the necklace, but he’s using others to do his dirty work. And the Masked Man is doing one of the dirtiest jobs in the city. When the Masked Man attacks the king, things get serious. Everyone wants to get him, but no one knows where he’s hiding. Though King Ethan has no idea how much danger he’s in, others are getting suspicious. Now the hunt starts. Yet, it’s not clear who’s hunting whom.
The big adventure continues. Who will find the lost necklace first?
The fate of Norene is unsure. Rex is still looking for the necklace, patiently waiting for his chance. What will happen if he gets it? What can be done to stop him? Whom can King Ethan trust?
The necklace is lost again. Ethan wants to find it before Rex does and has Daniel to help him. But the trail has disappeared, and even Daniel has trouble finding it. The Masked Man is also looking for the necklace, but Amy is always one step ahead of him. In Wolfast, Bess is trying to find out who Rex really is. He succeeds, but he doesn’t like what he finds out. He has to inform Ethan before it’s too late. During a masquerade in the castle, which Ethan organizes for his guests, a surprise awaits him that sets off a chain reaction. The tension between the enemy parties escalates. The final fight now seems impossible to avoid.
Ever had a bad day? Ever had a feeling that things were just snowballing and one disastrous situation followed another? Ever made things worse while trying to make them better?
Gabriel’s weekend started on a great note. Then one small stupid thing set off an avalanche of disasters. A mysterious vase, a broken car, running from wild animals, a stranger knocking on the window, fallen trees, ghosts in a tunnel, an emergency brake—all of this within twenty-four hours. Yet, the only goal he had in mind was to get home safe and sane. Can’t be that difficult, can it?
"An entertaining tale with affable characters entwined in a string of Murphy's Law incidents, Just My Luck draws laughter and empathy from relatable foibles, but also finds counterbalance with lessons of learning to go with the flow."
BlueInk Review
"A witty, enjoyable story with a supporting character who steals the show."
